To support your assessor in making a decision about your qualifications, you need to provide a range of evidence. The evidence may include:
  • Resume: This should include your most recent job role.
  • Identification: Provide documents such as Medicare card, passport, driving license, or key pass.
  • Reference Letter from employer/manager: It should clearly outline your job responsibilities.
  • Payslips / ABN Certificates: If you are self-employed, provide proof of income.
  • Job Contract: Submit a copy of your employment contract.
  • Letter of Employment / Job Engagement Letter: Obtain a letter from your employer confirming your employment.
  • Workplace Photograph: Include a photograph of your workplace.
  • Workplace Videos: Provide videos showcasing your work environment.

  • up to 2 units from the electives listed below, any endorsed Training Packages or accredited courses – these units must be relevant to the work outcome

Any combination of electives that meets the rules above can be selected for the award of the Diploma of Community Services. Where appropriate, electives may be packaged to provide a qualification with a specialisation.

Packaging for each specialisation:

  • at least 4 Group A electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Community Services (Case Management)
  • at least 3 Group B electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Community Services (Social Housing)
  • all Group C electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Community Services (Statutory & forensic child, youth & family welfare)

All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
