You should provide a range of proof to assist your evaluator in making a decision about your abilities. The types of evidence you may be asked to provide can include:  
  • Resume (including your most recent job position)
  • Identification documents (Medicare card, passport, driver’s license, key pass, etc.)
  • Reference letter from your employer or manager (must include details of your job responsibilities)
  • Payslips or ABN certificates (if you are self-employed)
  • Job contract
  • Letter of employment or job engagement letter
  • Photographs of your workplace
  • Videos showcasing your work or workplace
  • Meeting minutes
  • Apprenticeship papers
  • Safe work method statements
  • Job safety analysis documents
  • Job cards
  • Maintenance reports and service sheets
  • Quotes, invoices, and stock orders
  • Any other supporting evidence that can validate your skills and experience.
As a student, it’s important to understand the potential occupations that you’ll be eligible for upon successfully finishing your qualification. With this qualification, you’ll have the opportunity to work in various roles such as:  
  • Teacher Aide in schools, preschools, or kindergartens.
  • Education Support staff.
  • Education Assistant specializing in additional needs, language/literacy, or cultural support.
  • School Age Care Assistant Educator, which includes roles in vacation care, outside school hours care (OSHC), or kindergarten.
  • Inclusion Support Aide.
  • SSO (School Support Officer).

Total number of units = 17

  • 13 core units
  • 4 elective units, consisting of:
  • at least 2 units from the list below
  • up to 2 units from the electives listed below, elsewhere in the CHC Community Services Training Package, or any other current Training Package or accredited course.

The selection of electives chosen must be guided by the job outcome sought, local sector requirements and the complexity of skills appropriate to the AQF level of this qualification.
