Our highly acclaimed musician, experienced entertainer, and laughter therapist Dr Ras Banamungu is the mastermind of the multi-awards-winning group Dr Ras Banamung and The Det-n-ators International. He has designed a program specifically to meet his community’s needs- LAUGHTER PERCUSSION. Through his life story, a unique art form, professional experience within the disability sector, and trauma-informed studies, Dr Ras has curated an inspiring experience of happiness that caters to all ages, abilities, and locations.

We have refined over the years through his performances and teaching multiple workshops. We continue to change the lives of hundreds of our participants through memorable and profoundly moving methods of practice.
Ras brings a heartfelt joy and compassion for the workshop participants to this class through his interactive form of creative expression and creates a safe and open space for anyone to feel at home with its rhythmic methods and sounds.
Having traveled the world with his artform, Ras aims to share the wonder that is Laughter Percussion with as many as possible around his community. Our program aims to help guide healing, inviting the participant to discover a deeper connection with one’s emotions and bring together individuals on their separate journeys into a commonplace of happiness and healing while enjoying a new perspective of their present lives.
We are NDIS approved program that has met the national quality standards and continues to maintain compliance across the scheme with the ongoing support of NDIS consulting company, Connect my Community Consultancy. Participants can have peace of mind that this program is focused on creating positive, safe, and meaningful experiences for all participants as it continues to evolve and fulfill the needs of all our workshop attendees.
